Oh my Bob. D-day is nearing and I STILL don’t have anywhere close to everything ready that I want/think I should have done. Cue stress?
Week: 31 – 77.5% done!
Due date: April 16, 2013
Symptoms: Feet in my ribs. I’ve never been kicked in the ribs from the outside, but it sure is interesting from the inside.
Feeling: Anxious and tired and excited! Our baby shower is this Saturday and I’m pretty excited to see all of my friends and eat fabulous cake and have a good time celebrating the life we’re welcoming into this world in just a few short weeks.
Cravings: Peaches are back, intermittently. They’ve made appearances in my oatmeal, as snacks, and as peach ring sweets.
Aversions: Depends on the day, but nothing has been very strong.
Sleep: I’m sleeping a bit better now, but I’ve finally reached the point that about 4/7 nights a week, I have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. I guess I should be glad I held out this long!
Health: Still good!
Baby’s size: Around 3.3 pounds and 16 inches.
Weight gain: 23 pounds. I don’t know what to do to really watch this, but I’m going to do what I can to make it slow down. Two pounds a week is a good recipe for stretch marks and lots of post-partum baby weight to have to lose!
Movement: Baby is really active. Feet in my ribs, womb parties at all hours of night and day – it’s crazy in there, apparently.
Stretchmarks: Still no new stretchmarks to report.
BabyCenter Update: This week, your baby is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He’s probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby’s kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
It’s been one week since we heard the AF was sending husband’s paperwork up to the surgeon general. Only 3-5 weeks left before we hear back! After that, he should really, actually, and for real get to swear in.
Our baby shower is this weekend! I’m excited to see all of my friends, and open all of the gifts. It’ll be like Christmas in February ;)
I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine’s Day tomorrow!
